American Audio 14 Mxr Ni Traktor Scratch Pro 2 0
Thanks for pointing out the thread by JesC. There was a lot of good info shared. I had been looking at getting the Behringer DDM4000 and doing the mod on the cross fader so it would send midi info. Then the American Audio 14 MXR came out recently with the fader already sending midi out of the box. It's my understanding that the American Audio 14 MXR cross fader works with Serato Video SL just like the TTM57. I would love to buy the TTM57, but feel like the 14 MXR has the ability to work with Mixtape.
I'm debating on buying the 14 MXR and making a video for Youtube explaining that I would like to make it work with Mixtape. The keywords and responses might bring more attention to the issue to get the mixer mapped and working. $300 for the 14 MXR vs $1300 for the TT57 is definitely incentive for a lot of people to work on this. Seems like positive promotion for Serato and Ableton even if they are not making the mixer....

midimap your mixer with the Ableton channels and record your audio output of your mixer in one Ableton channel.
record a the bridge set as well.
import the the bridge set into your Ableton recording. bring both recordings in sync.
copy the bridge audio into your Ableton automation recording and voila. You ready ...
if you don't know what I'm talking about: get a Ableton course ;)

well i figured some stuff out:
'You can most definitely map the EQ's and up-faders on the 800 in ableton. Although I would recommend using the EQ 8 as opposed to the EQ 3 because the EQ 3's zero values are not at 12 o'clock like they are on most hardware mixers, which i think is a major oversight on ableton's part because ive never found a good way to map the EQ 3 to a 12 o' clock notched MIDI pot and have it function correctly.
To do it with the EQ3 w/ knobs @ 12o'clock just add the utility plugin BEFORE the EQ3 and bring the UTILITY to +14db, Now Take your EQ3 Knob & bring them to the center position (-14db)
That's it! '

- Jan 14, 2012 But basically I have just installed Traktor Pro 2 and will be using it at it's most basic level until I can afford Kontrol S4, so mixing on my PC! Anyway, tracks have been loaded in, the lights are flashing, the settings seemed to all go through automatically when I opened it up but the sound just isn't working.

- Apr 21, 2013 The American Audio 14 MXR is a Midi/log mixer comparable to the Rane 57 because it's faders and eq knobs can send both midi and sound output. I am interested in buying the American Audio 14 MXR and am curious if the features of The Bridge.
